We are seeking an experienced manager who has prior experience with composite plastic production, especially bath, shower or plumbing products made of acrylic and reinforced with FRP. Specifically the requirements are:
- BS degree required in a technical area.
- MBA preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in plant(s) management. Direct, hands on management necessary.
- P and L responsibilities. This job is evaluated by ability to meet or exceed cost objectives consistent with quality.
- Must be general management potential.
- Must possess an extraordinary work /success ethic.
- Preferable that candidate speak Spanish.
- Job is located in Dallas area. Reports to the President.

Composite Manufacturing Technical Lead / Engineer in Thailand
Cobra International Co., Ltd. (cobrainter.com) is a manufacturer of high
performance composites products used for sports and recreation around
the world. We are looking for a strong technical / engineering resource
with good experience and skills in composite manufacturing to assist us
in our exciting and growing kayak business. The role would include technical
responsibilities for product research & development, bringing products
from concept into production and technical support to manufacturing. The
facility is located near the coastline in beautiful Thailand, in between

Requirements for Candidate
- 5+ years working experience in technical “hands on”
roles in manufacturing in the composite industry.
- Strong technical or engineering experience in a production environment
to deliver new and innovative products, creative problem solving, detailed
documentation, cost effective solutions, consistent quality, and reliable
manufacturing.
- Strong technical skills and engineering working knowledge of composite
materials, material science with applications for hand lay up, vacuum
bagging, infusion and other methods for small boat manufacturing.
- Practical experience defining and documenting detailed methods and
work instructions as required for operator training, qualifications
and process improvements.
- Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, team player, self
motivated
- MS offices products; Auto cad, Solidworks, MS project + design software
are a plus
- Ability to work in a new culture and learn basic language skills
Role Description
- Provide leadership to define the best product set up and manufacturing
process to meet customer specifications, quality, costs and production
requirements.
- Optimize the manufacturing process; define and qualify the manufacturing
method and process to deliver consistent quality, maximize efficiency
and cost effective.
- Work with production team to define, develop and produce a product
to meet their specification and needs. Technically define the best materials
and methods to meet the customer requirements.
- Optimize product strength to weigh ratio to maximize structural
support to key areas.
- Develop new designs and applications of for products including graphics,
cost savings and new materials.
- Develop good working relationships with venders, suppliers, and
customers to optimize product specification and production results.
- Record, document and store all technical specifications, changes
and documents for proper record keeping.
- Train local engineers and production personnel on the best production
methods, process and expertise of composite material manufacturing.
- Optimize material utilization to deliver best cost of goods manufactured.

This is a manufacturing engineering position, with responsibility for
managing multiple engineering projects for customers and for contributing
to further development of the Company's proprietary manufacturing technology.
The successful candidate will have the following skills, capabilities,
and experience:
- 5+ years of composite design and processing experience
- Significant experience working with thermoplastic advanced composites
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Direct experience with solving customer problems
- Excellent creative-thinking and problem solving capabilities
- Ability to function well on a motivated team
- Capable in SolidWorks, NEI Nastran, and LabView
